My name is Sue and I am the current manager of the Wings List and I co-administrate the Siblings List with Karen.

I am married to John and together we live in Portland, Victoria, Australia. Portland is situated on the South East coast of Australia and is Victoria's first permanent settlement. It is a very pretty, small, City with beautiful coastlines and many historical buildings.

John is a welder for an Engineering firm and part-time home renovator - VERY part-time!.

I am a Secretary, firstly in a Solicitors Office and then in a Doctor's surgery for many years, but my main occupation now is being a Mum - and loving it :-))

I spent a long, sad year after Susanna passed away feeling very alone. By chance, my sister saw a segment about Trisomy 18 on the 'Today' show on TV. She wrote down the number for the support group and printed out the information off the web site address that was given. It took me a little while to find the courage to phone that number but I eventually did and spoke to Karen on the other end. We talked for quite a while, between our tears, and suddenly I didn't feel so alone anymore.

I bought myself a computer and went 'online' and have found so much information and support. I've spent a lot of time teaching myself to do web pages and I still have a lot to learn, but I am very proud of what I have achieved so far.

My very first attempt was to create a site in memory of Susanna.

and from there my own pages have grown.....

I feel very honoured to be able to assist Karen even though it is in a very small way.

I am very willing to share Susanna's story and our experiences with others in the hope that will help them in dealing with their own situation.
